For the owner

What you are looking at

This is a concept site, built from your own words, your own photographs and your own colours. Nothing on it takes a booking or sends a message. This page is the map.

Your words, unchanged

Every price, rule, check-in time, facility and description on the main pages is transcribed from your own site. The pod descriptions, the fire rules, the points to note and the terms are yours, word for word.

Marked where it is ours

Anything we wrote or invented sits behind a dashed box like this one. Green boxes are proposals; amber boxes are things we need you to confirm. There is no third category.

Two things we fixed

Your camping field section still carries Wix template filler about "innovative electronics and gadgets", and The Drey's description opens by talking about The Roost. Neither is reproduced here.

Working demonstrations

Seven things you can click through

These are built, not described. Open them and use them. They run entirely in your browser, so nothing is stored and nothing is sent.

  1. 01

    Automated gate code texts

Today: The code changes daily and every arriving guest is texted by hand.

Proposed: A schedule that sends the day's code at 7am to exactly the people arriving that day, plus the messages either side of it. Walk the whole journey, guest side and owner side.

    Open
  2. 02

    Direct booking

Today: Every booking goes through Pitchup, and Pitchup owns the guest.

Proposed: A working demonstration of choosing dates, pitch or pod, and extras on your own site. This version hands off to Pitchup at the end rather than taking money.

    Open
  3. 03

    Firewood and extras, pre-ordered

Today: Firewood is requested at the gate, on the day, once the trailer is loaded.

Proposed: Orders attached to a booking with a 4pm cut-off, and one list to load from.

    Open
  4. 04

    The guest hub

Today: Everything a guest needs is spread across a text, an email and a website.

Proposed: One page per booking: today's code, the offline route, the pub voucher, quiet hours, checkout.

    Open
  5. 05

An arrival guide that works with no signal

Today: Signal drops at Newhouse Lane and lost guests ring you from the track.

Proposed: A staged visual route that caches itself on the phone, plus a card they can save before they set off.

    Open
  6. 06

    Selling the dark sky

Today: You are inside an International Dark Sky Reserve and mention it once.

Proposed: A live planner: tonight's moon phase and darkness window, and the best nights in the month ahead.

    Open
  7. 07

    Goodwood event weeks

Today: Five demand spikes a year land inside your season and the site says nothing about them.

Proposed: A page per event week with dates, distance and a route straight to booking.

    Open

Not built, but worth saying out loud

Four more, described only

We stopped building at seven. These four are the next ones we would reach for, and none of them is speculative: each answers something specific about how the field actually runs.

Walks from the gate

Today: The South Downs Way is one mile away and there is not a single route on the site.

Proposed: A small library of walks starting at the field, each with distance, time and a downloadable GPX.

An owner console

Today: Codes, arrivals and firewood orders live in three different places.

Proposed: One screen for the day: who is arriving, what they ordered, what has already gone out.

Honest field conditions

Today: After heavy rain the track is soft and nobody knows until they are on it.

Proposed: A banner you can flip on, and one that flips itself when the forecast says so.

The Easter reopen

Today: The season closes at the end of September and starts cold again in spring.

Proposed: A countdown and a list of last season's guests to write to first.

What we would need from you

Short list, and none of it is urgent unless you want this live.

  • Which pod is which. We have four Landpod photographs and only The Burrow's is identifiable, so the other three are shown without claiming a name.
  • The road people should approach on. Your site has a "Getting to the farm" heading with nothing under it, so the arrival guide is built from your photographs and stops short of naming roads.
  • Your review numbers. There are 86 reviews on ukcampsite.co.uk and a score on Pitchup we could not read. No rating is shown anywhere on this build until one is verified.
  • Firewood prices. You publish the 4pm cut-off but not what a net of logs costs, so the figures in the extras demo are ours.

1 page

Your site today

Your sitemap lists two URLs and one of them is blank. Everything you have written lives on a single scroll, which is why none of it can be found by search.

Pitches and pods to fill

Every pod now has its own page, its own photograph and its own price in structured data.

The gate code journey is the one that shows the most in the least time.
