Why Newhouse Farm Wild Camping?
Sitting up high, surrounded by an ancient woodland, is our wild camping field. Wild for its wild inhabitants and our off-grid, off the beaten track location, with far reaching farm views.
At Newhouse Farm Wild Camping, we believe camping should be about open space, crackling fires, star-filled skies and reconnecting with nature.
We invite you to join us in the heart of an International Dark Sky Reserve.

Our camping field
Weave through the cattle, take the track, and the world goes quiet
Nestled at the very end of our working farm, lies our ten acre camping field. Weave through our grazing Longhorn and Sussex cattle, and take a 1-mile drive along our farm track.
We have 76 non-electric grass pitches, 4 Landpods, 2 wash-up stations, plenty of toilets (including compost loos), and drinking water. Park at a pitch of your choice around the perimeter of the field, or create your own space in the middle.

Pods check in from 2pm to 7pm and out by 12pm. Grass pitches check in from 12pm to 7pm and out by 4pm.
Campfires
Nothing says 'wild camping' like a cosy fire under the stars. Bring your own raised fire pit and fire wood, or simply order before 4pm on the day of your arrival, and we will deliver all your campfire essentials to your pitch.
Fire pit rulesDogs
It wouldn't be the perfect camping trip without our most faithful companions, our dogs. With an abundance of walks directly from the camping field, including the South Downs Way just one mile away, your four-legged friends are in for a treat. All dogs must be kept on a lead.

The Star & Garter, East Dean
Just two miles from the field in the village of East Dean, is The Star & Garter pub. The pub offers delicious seasonal menus, local ales, and a warm countryside welcome.
