How we keep things lovely

The things worth knowing before you set off

None of this is small print. It is the stuff that makes the difference between a good weekend and a difficult one, so it is on a page of its own rather than buried at the bottom.

Mandatory

Quiet time, 10pm to 7am

We are not a camping field for late night parties. We have quiet time between 10pm & 7am. Strictly no music to be played between these hours. We are a quiet, family friendly camping field. This rule is mandatory.

Points to note

A working farm, off-grid, at the end of a track. These are the practical consequences.

No showers
We do not have showers.
No CDP point
We are a wild camping field on a working farm with no CDP point.
The track
Field access is via a rural, 1-mile farm track, with a hill to the field.
Phone signal
Phone signal drops from the beginning of Newhouse Lane and restores at the top of the camping field.
Terrain
Field terrain is hilly. Please bring levelling ramps and chocks.
Water
Our water is for drinking and washing hands and pots and pans. Our water is pumped to our off-grid location via a solar powered water pump, so please fill up your vehicles before visiting our field.
Safety
First aid kit and fire extinguishers located at the field.
Nearby shops
The villages of West Dean, Boxgrove, or Sainsbury's in Chichester (with fuel).
